The 12.5mm Fire Resistant Plasterboard, also known as Fire Shield Plasterboard, improves fire resistance. 12.5x2400x1200mm Square Edge. The lighter weight also makes this board size great for using to create a fire resistant ceiling.

The 12.5mm Fire Shield plasterboard is specifically designed to protect structural aspects of buildings or passageways / corridors in the case of fire. For use as cladding component in partitions and lining systems. Ideal for receiving a plaster finish or for direct decoration. The board includes small quantities of glass fibre and vermiculite which maintain the integrity of the board at high temperatures.

Fire Resistant Plasterboard has a Thermal Conductivity figure of k= 0.24 W/mK.

A single layer of 12.5mm Fire Panel on both sides of a metal stud partition provides up to half an hour of fire resistance.
